In September 2024, Harris | Oakmark employees volunteered at the Lincoln Park Zoo for its annual day of service. This marked the third consecutive year the firm has partnered with the organization to support its various initiatives.
Volunteers met at the zoo to help decorate for Fall Fest, which was a festive event for the community to celebrate the season. While volunteering, CEO Megan R. Ross, Ph.D. met with the employees and described the positive, global contributions the zoo has made in areas, such as wildlife research, conservation and animal welfare. One exciting initiative Ross discussed was the reintroduction of species, like red wolves, back to their wild habitats.
“I really enjoyed the experience! It was interesting hearing from Megan Ross about the impact that Lincoln Park Zoo has on a global scale and some of the advancements they have made over the years. It was fun to help bundle corn and move haystacks in preparation for their fall event, ” shared Robert Schyns, business process improvement senior analyst.
